My Schedule

7 Wake up - even though my alarm isn’t set ‘till 7.15. I read or write for a bit.

7.15 Get up and get dressed from the stinking pile of clothes festering at the end of the room. Go outside to the ‘Glorybox’ loo and wash me and my teeth at the tap. Take medicines and put on suncream.

7.55 Grab my things and walk out to work along the dusty tracks.

8 Go upstairs to get breakfast then wash up after.

8.30 Play with the kids - with things like balloons songs or talking, or rough and tumble all outside.

10 All to the loo.

11 To the loo and to lunch. We prepare the food while trying to keep the children sitting down at their tables. Ghita, Raxanna and Mihai will not stay put. Give bowls to them and spoon feed Andrei and then toilet again and get them into bed for a nap.

11.45 Get lunch and eat in Sacristy or big girls room. Wash up afterwards.

12 Meant to leave - but usually am much later, even 1.30 or so, if I can find the Key and go home. Sleep or read or listen to music or write or chat or sunbathe and eat my chocolate ration.

2.25 Grab my things and walk back to work.

2.30 Kids snack time, then play with them - often in the smelly pool.

5.45 Get supper, eat and wash up.

6.00 Meant to leave, but normally end up staying ‘till late, maybe 8 pm. On some glorious days I stay behind to shower and wash my clothes. Then home or into town. I try to get to bed as early as I can because by this time I am usually shattered.
